Jerry,
First, I suggest you learn how to spell.
Also, the proper salutation counts.

I simply don't find you "real."

Maybe someone else will.

Jerry...

Sorry but I think you should try and work this one out by yourself. You have I presume received one or two job descriptions for the position, ( as you requested that before ), so you should be able to work out what is expected of a guest relations officer.

Think if you were hiring a guest relations officer, what sort of questions would you pose ? Then think as an applicant and think what a good answer might be and what a bad answer could be.

I shall try and help you on your way...

Interviewer... "what attributes do you think are necessary for the position that you are applying for ?"

Good applicant... "I would suggest maybe patience, the ability to listen, the ability to analise and solve problems, the ability to show understanding, hospitable and language skills"

Bad applicant... "what are attibewts ?"

Bad A: You!

Q: why should I hire you (OK an old one)
A: anything
Bad A: dunno!

Q: what do you think guest relations is?
A: the link between the hotel and the customer
Bad A: a department woking with guests.

Q: what do you do with a complaint?
A: log it and follow up
Bad A: pass it on

Dear Jerry,

If you want Harvard referencing, then you should download a Harvard business review... all you'll get here is ehotelier.com referencing.

Please note, ehotelier.com referencing will likely get you a mark of zero.

Personally, I don't understand how at university level, you are asking such questions.

Cheers,
CC

Listed below is a series of statements relating to how you are treated as a customer.
Think of yourself as a customer and fill in the word that best describes how you feel in
each of the situations. There are no right or wrong answers. It is your feeling that counts.

1.When a member of staff uses my name, I feel _________
2.When someone does not do what they say they were going to do, I feel __________
3.When my phone call is returned promptly, I feel ________
4.When no one listens to what I say, I feel ________
5.When someone expresses their appreciation of my custom, I feel __________
6.When I have to interrupt a shop assistant doing paperwork, I feel __________
7.If a sales assistant disagrees with me, I feel _________
8.When someone acknowledges that I’m in a rush, I feel __________
9.When my complaint is not answered promptly, I feel __________
10.When someone shows an interest in what I am saying, I feel _________

Put yourself in the shoes of the customer first and what they are experiencing.
In a way you have to start thinking for yourself not requesting answers to your questions. At the moment you are all theory, what will happen when you have to put theory into practice.
Why are you using Harvard referencing when you are in the UK?
Regards
