trash...

what you think they should ask to a bartender?

experience
last jobs infos
questions based on his resume info
recipes and beverage knowledge depending on bev available on bar/restaurant
inventory/ bar & cost control ...%
interpersonal and communication skills

thats what I would test in a candidate to a bartending position vacancy, and if I was really needing a really good bartender(more expensive) to finish I would drill him with some previous month bar p&l, bev costs%, menu analysis and make he sing to me the analysis, goals to improve etc..

One question that should be asked---but seldom is---
How many times have you cut off a drunk person in order to protect themselves and others?

Dear fellow forum members,

Unfortunately this topic has wandered off-topic, is now completely out of hand and several posts have been removed.

I am giving a warning to all involved, and if you keep it on track with the original posting, or fail to exercise normal standards of civility, then I will have no option other than to close it down.
