Does anyone know the process or costs to obtain your trade papers even though have been working as a chef for 16 yrs?
Overseas placements require this and we have been quoted $2050.00 by
Australian Hospitality Skills Recognition ME FZE
This seems an awful lot.

not sure about other states, but queensland you can contact the tafe that you did your theory and prac through during your apprentiship, and they can send a new one through for you,
i know 6 years ago it was about $20

Thanks for reply. The only problem it was 16-20rs ok so no records.

Aussiechef, skills recognition will cost about AUD$450, inclusive of the rapid service charge which is still 30 days.

But there are "alternative solutions", where are you moving too? if the TAFE you attended cannot provide a copy, then how would your perspective employer be able to verify their authenticity!
