Haaga (School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management) as a part of HAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Sciences, is a pioneering educational institute in its field in Finland. Haaga’s programmes aim to provide qualifications required for managerial positions in the international hotel, restaurant and tourism industry.

Through education, research and development, HAAGA-HELIA prepares professionals for business and services. Our approximately 10 000 students and 600 employees at HAAGA-HELIA base their activities on highly advanced national and international expertise. HAAGA-HELIA is the place to earn Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, to obtain teacher education, to complete MBA programmes and specialisation studies, and to participate in research and development. We also provide personnel training for various organisations. HAAGA-HELIA is an international university of applied sciences. We have more than 170 partner universities throughout the world and a variety of opportunities to internationalise. The school in located in a suburban area within seven kilometres of, the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Helsinki, known as the “Daughter of the Baltic”, has in recent years grown and developed to become a truly metropolitan city with over one million inhabitants, whilst retaining its green spaces and classical architecture.

Helsinki is on a peninsula which is part of the second biggest, and arguably the most beautiful archipelago in the world. One of the best known of Finland’s several Unesco Heritage sites is Suomenlinna, a fortress island just off the cost within sight of the city centre.

Helsinki has hosted several international summit conferences. This, together with the growing internalization contributes to the appropriateness of Helsinki as the home ofHAAGA-HELIA University of Applied Science, one of the World’s Leading Hotel Schools.

Finland’s reputation as the provider of the highest standard of education in the world has helped to attract of students from over the world.
