Goal Training and Development in conjunction with our IT company "i-learn Australia" provides simple and robust training solutions that are delivered on mobile devices such as PDA's and Smartphones.
We have developed a proprietary authoring tool called the "mcs" - mobile content shell. This allows ANYONE to develop and download ANY type of content to PDAs and SMARTPHONES. The content will be deployed on Apple ipods and iphones in early 2010.
A typical solution would contain the following information: Training and Assessments, Professional development, Policies and procedures, Site and company Inductions, Corporate Governance, Compliance, product knowledge, Risk assessment, Management reporting
Typical content used in a resource may consist of: Text, Audio, Images, Videos, Assessments, digital signatures, financial information, graphs, charts, AUSLAN and Captioning .
Goal Training and Development was selected as a finalist in the international Handheld Learning Awards, held recently in London. The awards were judged by an international panel of technology and e-learning experts, who commended the quality of the content management system developed for mobile devices by Goal Training and Development.
The judges praised the project as an innovative platform to deliver any type of training content to industry and business. The project involves learners in the hospitality industry with ‘just in time' information about workplace specific products and processes, anywhere and anytime - including on the job and in remote locations - and at their own pace.
Mobile based content is providing a very low cost training solution for employers, by eliminating training delivery costs such as trainer fees, employee wages during training, travel costs, printing costs, room hire, dated, one dimensional and generic resources and lack of access to PCs and traditional e-learning formats.
