The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) is kicking off 2010 in style with no less than 78 of its member hotels from around the world included in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Gold List 2010.
This outstanding recognition comes shortly after news that a huge number of LHW member hotels made the Travel + Leisure 500 World's Best Hotels 2010; two of the worlds most well respected and influential travel publications.
Fortunately for travellers in Asia, 10 of the 87 Asia Pacific hotels to make the Condé Nast cut were LHW member hotels, and 10 from 107 in the Travel + Leisure poll meaning unique and suitably glamorous weekends away are only a stone throw away.
From Hong Kong to Australia and New Zealand, Malaysia, Thailand and India, the LHW hotels honoured in the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List 2010 are:
Thailand - Banyan Tree Phuket, Phuket
Thailand - The Chedi Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai
Thailand - The Sukhothai, Bangkok
Thailand - Rayavadee, Krabi
Malaysia - The Datai, Langkawi
New Zealand - Huka Lodge, Taupo
Australia - The Langham, Melbourne
Hong Kong - The Langham Hong Kong, Kowloon

Three hotels appear on both the Condé Nast and the Travel + Leisure lists, these are: Huka Lodge, Taupo, New Zealand; Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur, India; and The Langham, Melbourne, Australia.
The New Year starts with not only a series of prominent award wins for one of the world's finest hospitality organizations, but also the launch of The Leading Hotels of the World 2010 Directory.
