Business travellers in the UK that don't have the right tools while on the road could be costing their employers money. Here EyeforTravel considers the results of a recent YouGov study which includes an infographic of some interesting results.
Business travel is such a chore for most UK workers that 23% would turn down a new job that required them to take to the road. This just one of the findings of a YouGov survey of over 1,000 UK business travellers, which finds that the thing business travellers find incredibly tedious is the stack of receipts and expense reports that they need to complete on return from a trip. And this impacts on their productivity too. Over three quarters of UK business travellers report decreased job satisfaction due to negative travel experiences.
But many of these ‘pain points' could be alleviated with a technology solution. So what are the main pain points? Well take a look at this infographic for some of the key findings.
So if time is money why aren't business leaders doing more to address their unhappy travellers? There is clearly an opportunity here for developers to up their game and technology firms to put forward appropriate solutions. Travel and expensive management software from firms like Concur or SAP can help.
Isabel Montesdeoca is Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, at Concur says in today's always on, always connected environment, companies can do more to improve the productivity and job satisfaction of their staff by equipping them with technology and tools that make them more effective while travelling.
As with anything, when choosing a technology provider be sure to understand exactly what you are looking for, what the business objectives are and how this could deliver benefits to your business. You never know, you may just find your employees are more productive, happy travellers with a positive impact on the bottom line.
