The Best London Hotel Christmas Tree?

It is officially the season to be jolly, which means it's time for hotels to go Christmas crazy: from  food and decorations to themed packages, like the Claridge's horse and carriage Christmas day ride around Mayfair.

One hotel which is celebrating the festive season in serious style is One Aldwych which has just unveiled its Christmas tree, but this isn't just any Christmas tree: it's a 25 foot Gingerbread Christmas Tree!  If you don't believe me, take a closer look at the pics.

The tree features 128 giant gingerbread figures from the hotel's neighbours Konditor & Cook who serve up cracking sweet treats (my favourite is the curly wurly cake).  The tree takes pride of place in the hotel's lobby and was made by the One Aldwych florist Mark Siredzuk.  The big question is: who gets to eat all of the gingerbread figures when Christmas is over?

I'll happily volunteer.  But if you can't wait until after the festive period you may want to check out the new Sugar & Spice afternoon tea which includes a warm mulled wine shot, chestnut delice, eggnog mouse and cranberry scones; or better still the bar which is serving hot winter cocktails.
