Starwood brings Le Méridien to Bali. Starwood Hotels opened Le Méridien Bali Jimbaran in Bali, Indonesia in May. The hotel's 118 guestrooms and suites include modern batik motifs and liquid art imagery by German artist Markus Reugels. Ground floor guestrooms open onto a 4,265-sq-ft (1,300-sq-m) saltwater lagoon pool. The three-story complex is also home to four dining venues, including Bamboo Chic, a restaurant featuring Pan-Asian and Balinese cuisine; Smoqee Lounge & Sky Bar; Latitude 8, which offers coffee, wines and tapas; and WALA, a gelato and coffee café. NYLO New York City Holds Grand Opening. NYLO New York officially debuted last night on Manhattan's Upper West Side.The hotel's 285 guestrooms and 33 suites pay homage to New York's industrial jazz era, with design elements celebrating the period. Amari to debut in Malaysia. Thailand's Onyx Hospitality Group has signed its first ever Amari hotel in Malaysia.Located in the far south of peninsular Malaysia, close to the border with Singapore, the 207-room Amari Johor Bahru will include a range of upscale facilities, including an Asian restaurant, spa and meeting rooms.Scheduled to open in 2015, the property will form part of the Suasana Iskandar Malaysia development, which also offers serviced apartments, retail and leisure outlets. The development is also just five minutes' walk from the upcoming JB Sentral MRT network, which will link Johor Bahru with Singapore.The announcement of the Amari brand's Malaysian launch comes just weeks after Onyx unveiled plans to introduce its Ozo hotel brand to Penang.
