Nanuku Resort & Spa appoints Paul Cutler to sales and marketing role
Fiji's newest luxury resort Nanuku Resort & Spa has appointed Paul Cutler as sales & marketing manager.
Announcing the appointment general manager, Karen Taylor said Mr Cutler would take immediate responsibility for all aspects of the new all-villa boutique resort's sales and marketing activity on an international basis.
Cutler's international hotel experience extends to senior sales roles with both Le Méridien Hotels and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. He also has an extensive Fiji tourism background having managed sales and marketing activity on behalf of several luxury resorts in the destination.
Vail Marriott Mountain Resort welcomes new General Manager Kellie Newman
The Vail Marriott Mountain Resort is proud to announce Kellie Newman as its new general manager.
Newman brings to the position more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She is currently the general manager of the Denver Marriott West.
Newman began her career in 1991 as a housekeeping intern at Marriott's Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach, Missouri. She then served in several operations positions in the Chicago area, helping her gain a working and thorough knowledge of the company and leading her to the position of director for the event booking center in Nashville.
In 2000, Newman transitioned into the sales department at Marriott corporate headquarters in Maryland, where her dedication earned her the director position for the London sales office. After five years, she became director of room operations at the Orlando World Center Marriott. She then transitioned to Director of Group Strategy at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Downtown followed by a promotion to Assistant General Manager at the Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown.
Newman began her General Manager career path in 2009 at the Renaissance Charleston Historic District Hotel. She then transferred to the Denver Marriott West.
Throughout the years, Newman has expanded her knowledge of the hospitality industry by serving on numerous boards, chambers and associations including the Denver West Chamber of Commerce and Colorado Hotel & Lodging Association. She also serves on Marriott's General Managers Advisory Council.
Newman has a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University in hotel management.

Pan Pacific Hotels Group has appointed Andreas Sungaimin as Senior Vice President, Human Capital & Development.
Based at the corporate headquarters in Singapore, Andreas will lead the Human Capital & Development team to focus on Pan Pacific Hotels Group's leadership talent and capability development as the Group expands its global portfolio under its "Pan Pacific" and PARKROYAL brands. Andreas will also be responsible for enhancing employee engagement and service excellence standards across the Group's 38 hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia, Oceania and North America.
Andreas joins Pan Pacific Hotels Group with more than 30 years of Human Resources experience in the hospitality industry as well as from private and public sector organisations in Asia Pacific, Middle East and North America.
Prior to his appointment, Andreas was Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development at Raffles Hotels & Resorts for six years. Andreas has previously held senior management positions in Human Resources with Hilton, The Hong Kong & Shanghai Hotels Group and the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Early in his career, he also served as a Principal Consultant in the areas of Human Resources, Change Management and Organisational Design for PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting, Asia Pacific.
At present, Pan Pacific Hotels Group employs some 6,600 associates across over 30 "Pan Pacific" and PARKROYAL hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia, Oceania and North America
By the end of next year, the Group expects to welcome more than 600 new associates with the opening of PARKROYAL Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar (2014), Pan Pacific Hotel and Serviced Suites Tianjin in China (2014) and PARKROYAL Rainbow Hills Bogor Resort in Indonesia (2015).
