Thomas Hahn new Senior VP - Operations for Dorsett Hospitality Intl
Dorsett Hospitality International has appointed Thomas Hahn as Senior Vice President-Operations. Based at the Group's Global Headquarters in Hong Kong, he will take charge of the group's entire hotel operations division and have the responsibilities of overseeing and further development of the group's operating infrastructure, standards and business performance for all hotel properties of the group across all brands.
Hahn brings to the group more than 25 years of operations and general management experience across luxury hotels and retail food and beverage industries at unit and corporate level. Thomas' most recent appointment prior to joining Dorsett was with the Intercontinental Hotels Group, where he was the Vice President Operations, Central China and Holiday Inn Express Greater China. His other portfolios included key leadership positions with Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La, Starbucks Coffee and Maxim's Group.
Frankie Lai, the Group's Chief Operating Officer, who has been with the Group for over 20 years, will now take charge of Project Development & Quantity Surveying, Interior Design, Technical Services & Engineering, Procurement and Information Technology. Lai is alsoi based out of Dorsett Hospitality International's Global Headquarters in Hong Kong.
Mauro Governato new GM for Hotel De Russie
Rocco Forte Hotels announces the appointment of Mauro Governato as General Manager for Hotel de Russie in Rome. Mr. Governato takes over from Stefano Gegnacorsi, who was with the hotel for eight years. In his new role, Governato is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of the 122-room and suite luxury hotel located next to the Spanish Steps.
Governato has been in the hospitality industry for 29 years. Previously, he was General Manager at the Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon. Bringing a wealth of management experience to his new role, his career has taken him from the Four Seasons Resort Provence a Terre Blanche-France to the One&Only Le Saint Géran (Mauritius) and One&Only Kanuhura (Maldives). Early on, Governato was in the food and beverage industry, working in Michellin-starred restaurants across Europe.
Born in Piemonte, Mr. Governato speaks five languages and holds a degree in Hotel Management from Istituto Alberghiero G. Colombatto in Turin, Italy. He has completed courses at Cornell University and has a Sommelier Diploma from the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) in Milano, Italy.
Conrad Bali appoints two Senior Sales and Marketing execs
Conrad Bali announced its appointment of Caroline Chrysdy as Sales and Marketing Director and Imuthia Yanindra as Marketing Communications Manager. Both professionals are part of the sales and marketing team of the luxury resort.
Chrysdy, a well-known professional in the hospitality industry in Bali and Southeast Asia, has been promoted from her previous position as Director of Sales in the hotel. Graduating from Wichita State University, her career with Conrad Bali began in 2011. Prior to joining, she has worked for Accor Asia Pacific, The Villas Bali and Nikko Bali.
Yanindra was most recently at Anantara Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa before joining Conrad Bali. Outside of Bali, Yanindra's experience extends to prestigious properties in the Indonesian capital, Jakarta, where she worked for the Pullman Jakarta Central Park, the Millennium Hotel Sirih Jakarta and Grand Melia Jakarta Hotel.
Choice Hotels Australasia appoints General Manager, Distribution and Revenue
Choice Hotels Australasia has appointed Aileen Cobern to the position of General Manager, Distribution and Revenue in a new role which will see Cobern utilise her experience in the hospitality arena to assist with the franchise group's expansive growth plans in the coming years.
With over 20 years in the hotel industry, Cobern's new role will see her responsible for the coordination, functional management and leadership of sales, ecommerce distribution and revenue management activities in line with the company business plan.
Cobern commenced her tenure at Choice Hotels in 1998 when the hotel franchise group first launched to the Australasian market and has held the positions of Senior Sales Manager-Inbound, Senior Director-Sales and for the past eight years, General Manager, Sales & Marketing.
