IHG opens Holiday Inn Monterrey Valle Hotel in Monterrey, Mexico
InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of the Holiday Inn Monterrey Valle hotel, the 10th IHG hotel in Monterrey Mexico, including two Crowne Plaza hotels, three Holiday Inn hotels, three Holiday Inn Express hotels and one Staybridge Suites hotel.
The Holiday Inn Monterrey Valle hotel was designed with the Holiday Inn brand family's $1 billion global brand relaunch in mind. The relaunch continues to drive increased quality and consistency across the global portfolio. The hotel features a contemporary image with emphasis on arrival and welcome services, guestroom and guest bath comfort and a redesigned logo and signage.
Interstate opens 7 hotels and resorts in Russia, New York and Florida
Interstate Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of seven new hotels around the world, expanding the Company's portfolio by nearly 2,000 rooms. New properties include the four hotels in the Olympic city of Sochi, Russia; the combined Residence Inn and Courtyard New York Manhattan/Central Park, renowned as the tallest hotel in North America; and the new contemporary designed Streamsong Resort, a Florida golf resort and conference center featuring two top-ranked signature golf courses and world class amenities.

The Villa By Barton G. relaunches at former Versace mansion in Miami Beach
History, opulence and elegance converge where The Villa By Barton G. reclaims its residence at the former Versace Mansion with the launch of a new Mediterranean restaurant, Il Sole, and luxury boutique hotel this month. Following news of the Nakash Family acquiring the iconic property for $41.5 million last September, they have brought in renowned events impresario and restaurateur Barton G. Weiss to manage the property which will allow guests an opportunity to get reacquainted with the former residence of famed fashion designer Gianni Versace.
Beginning in March, guests will also have an opportunity to book one of the ten palatial suites at the property which range from the 434 square-foot Medallion Suite which overlooks one of the most beautiful mosaics at the mansion to the stunning 1,428 square-foot Venus Suite which features two private balconies overlooking Ocean Drive and the mansion's 54 foot long Thousand Mosaic swimming pool which is lined in 24 karat gold designed by Gianni Versace. Visitors who want to experience a piece of history can also book the 1,174 square-foot Villa Suite, Versace's former bedroom, which features a nine-foot double king-size bed, two balconies, seven custom-made closets and an ornate oversized shower.
Each of the guest rooms features custom interiors, patios and balconies, along with king and double-king beds with custom Egyptian cotton linens, goose down pillows and duvets, and Italian marble bathrooms. Guests of the hotel will also gain exclusive access to the mansion's two private lounges, including the seductive Moroccan Room, as well as entry to the lush Mosaic Gardens and the outdoor Thousand Mosaic swimming pool. In-room, poolside and rooftop spa services will also be launching at the property soon.
In addition to the new restaurant and hotel, The Villa By Barton G. is also currently available for weddings, corporate and private events, which can include guests entering the gated Villa for cocktails in the courtyard, followed by a private dinner at Il Sole or reception near the outdoor pool. With full-service event planning provided by Barton G., custom menus, decor and tenting is also available.
Embassy Suites Anaheim-Orange opens after $12M conversion and redesign
Embassy Suites Hotels, the Hilton Worldwide brand of upscale all-suite hotels, has opened Embassy Suites Anaheim-Orange after a $12 million renovation including a complete makeover of suites, meeting space and indoor and outdoor pool facilities. The hotel, formerly a Hilton Suites, is managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts.
Guests will be welcomed to a redesigned lobby featuring an atrium restaurant and bar, Cloud 9, which has been completely reimagined creating a gathering place for guests to enjoy daily, complimentary, cooked-to-order breakfast and a complimentary evening reception. The hotel's suites have been redesigned to feature luxurious bathrooms with a separate shower and tub as well as a separate living room with sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator, work desk and ergonomic chair. Eighteen of the 230 suites are two-bedroom family suites, offering the same updated amenities as standard one-bedroom suites but with a full size bed next to the den and 200 sq. ft. more space.
The hotel will accommodate an intimate meeting and event atmosphere for up to 100 people. Four thousand sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space is available including breakout rooms for up to 50 people and a boardroom with executive-style chairs for up to 10 people. The atrium provides reserved seating for a lunch venue as well as a 24-hour complimentary business center. Guests can also enjoy the complimentary 24-hour fitness center, which features Precor fitness equipment such as treadmills, elliptical machines and free weights.
Starwood Hotels' Aloft brand heads to Louisville
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has announced that its Aloft brand will soon arrive in Louisville, Kentucky. Owned by REI Real Estate Services, LLC and Poe Companies, LLC and managed by White Lodging Services Corporation, Aloft Louisville Downtown is scheduled to open in April 2015 in the city's central business district. The new-build Aloft hotel will feature 167 loft-like rooms, forward-thinking technology and a vibrant, social atmosphere.
Hotel facilities will include the brand's signature W XYZ bar, Splash pool, 24-hour fitness center and 2,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket celebrates grand opening
Hyatt Hotels and Hegg Companies have announced the opening of Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket, the first Hyatt hotel in Lincoln, Nebraska. The hotel is managed by Hegg Companies, located in Sioux Falls, S.D., and the opening adds Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket to its management portfolio in the region.
Located in the new West Haymarket development on Q Street, Hyatt Place Lincoln/Downtown-Haymarket is just steps from Pinnacle Bank Arena and the Railyard Entertainment Center, as well as more than 30 dining venues. The hotel is three blocks from University of Nebraska-Lincoln's football stadium and in the middle of pre- and post-game action.

Cobblestone Hotels breaks ground on third hotel in Pennsylvania
Cobblestone Hotels has celebrated its third ground breaking in Pennsylvania. The Cobblestone Inn and Suites located in Corry, Pennsylvania is the third and latest Cobblestone property in Pennsylvania.
"Our first hotel broke ground in the Fall of 2013 in Pennsylvania" says Brian Wogernese, Brand President with Cobblestone Hotels. "We have two more set to break ground in the next 60 days at least."
The hotel has 37 rooms including rooms with whirlpool suites. Amenities in each room include a 40-inch flat-panel TV, DVD player, microwave, refrigerator, coffee service, upgraded bedding and free high-speed internet. Guests of the hotel will also enjoy an on-site beer and wine bar, hot breakfast buffet, weekday newspaper, guest laundry, and on-site convenience store.
