Speakers confirmed on the design hotelsTM future forum
Under the motto "New Shelter" this year's Future Forum will be an exploration of holistic concepts and will offer insights for future brand strategy. The platforms of design, architecture and consumerism will be delved into with a keen sensibility for the sustainable and the authentic.
The collaboration of design hotelsTM, London-based The Future Laboratory and Berlin-based DIE GESTALTEN VERLAG (dgv), brings core thought competence together with a wealth of specialist knowledge, for which this trio is best known.
The conference and interactive Laboratories will be curated by Robert Klanten of dgv. dgv specializes in developing content for aficionados of cutting-edge visual culture and is creating a stimulating program with international speakers for this ground-breaking event.
Date: Thursday, September 27, 2007
Participants: The Future Forum is designed for investors, hoteliers, architects, designers, developers and consultants and all those interested in progressive and holistic concepts for hospitality.
Architecture: The Future of Space - The perception, relevance and operations of architecture are changing; endurance and sustainability in architecture and interior design are becoming key issues. Thus, the lab will investigate how current technology and mobility are demanding and inspiring new sustainable concepts and forms of architecture, interior design and marketing.
Art & Culture: The Future of Experience - In a world of multimedia communication, personal experience and atmosphere need to be redefined as sensual impressions are becoming increasingly important. This lab will investigate how classical environments in hotels and travel destinations must change to create unique personal experiences that will redefine relationships among customers and brands.
Design: The Future Style - This lab will present how designers are working in various disciplines, crossing and dissolving the boundaries between product design, interior design, visual culture and art. It will also investigate how designers keep international brands cutting-edge in terms of both innovation and recognizability while simultaneously addressing the need for ecological awareness and product sustainability.
