COTEBA Ltd. has won the proposed £35 million construction management deal to build a new stand with improved spectator facilities and the new Arora International Hotel at the Brit Oval cricket ground in Kennington, South London. The scheme is to demolish the existing dated Surrey Tavern and Lock, Laker and Peter May Stands to create a stunning new entrance piazza and erect a new six-storey stand incorporating an additional 1862 spectator seats, hospitality and ancillary facilities that will boost the overall capacity from 23,000 to 25,000. At the Pavilion End of the Brit Oval the scheme will incorporate an in-built fivestorey 170 room hotel with hospitality facilities offering hotel rooms which double as corporate boxes on match days and a roof top restaurant with views of the pitch.
