HotelBenchmark adds 29 new markets

Deloitte is delighted to announce they have crossed the 500 market milestone with the addition of 29 new markets to the Monthly HotelBenchmark™Survey.

The new markets added to the survey include 12 markets in Asia, 13 markets in Europe and four markets in the Middle East & Africa listed below.

The HotelBenchmark™Survey by Deloitte is the world's largest hotel performance database tracking the occupancy, average room rate and revenue per available (revPAR) performance of over 7,800 chain and independently operated hotels.

Lorna Clarke, Executive Director of HotelBenchmark™commented: "This is a great start to 2008 especially off the back of the 24 markets launched in the latter part of last year. The UK has enjoyed a particular boost with over 20 markets added since this time last year.
