Voting for the 2009/2010 edition of The Miele Guide closed on 24 May 2009.
The second edition of this slim and indispensable guide to Asia's best restaurants will be launched in October this year.
For the first time, the guide will feature country introductions written by shortlist panellists who are top restaurant critics and food writers in their own right in their respective home countries. These introductions will provide rich insider perspectives of what the current highlights of dining out in each Asian country are. The top five restaurants in each country featured will also be listed.
This year, restaurants in 18 Asian countries were evaluated-Brunei, Cambodia, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal and Mongolia.
