Responding to the changing needs of today’s sophisticated business travelers, Novotel has developed a new design concept for its guestrooms called the “Novation Room”, which combines European elegance with modern amenities for an attractive price. Now available in the Toronto area at Novotel Mississauga and Novotel North York, this new concept marries the luxurious feel of finer European hotels with upgrades such as free WIFI (Wireless Internet).
The Novation concept represents a multi-million dollar investment by Accor North America to set a new standard in the mid-scale lodging segment. According to David O’Shaughnessy, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Accor Business & Leisure, “Through this new concept, Novotel will appeal to those travelers who don’t feel they should have to sacrifice sophistication and in-room conveniences for an affordable rate.”
What’s so innovative about Novation?*
Functional and Ergonomic Furniture
Built into the headboard are bed-side electrical outlets, tables and lighting. The outlets allow guests to easily charge cell phones or plug in laptops.
A multi-functional “pouf” serves as a luggage rack, bench or ottoman, and has a detachable wooden piece that can be used in bed as a breakfast tray or work surface.
A headboard contoured to the back makes reading and watching TV in bed more comfortable.
Comfort and European Style
Plush king-size beds with European duvets
A sofa with deep cushions or a comfortable rounded-back armchair
A Redefined Bathroom
Opaque doors open up the bathroom to the main living space
King-size shower with height-adjustable showerhead
Other Thoughtful Innovations
