Durant joins Thistle exodus

e-Tid.com   -  Finance director Ian Durant is the latest board member of Thistle Hotels to step down following BIL’s takeover.

Durant joins chairman David Newbigging and chief executive Ian Burke who stepped down in May at the same time as Thistle’s new owners announced that Tan Sri Quek Leng Chan would become chairman. Arun Aramsi was named CEO and MD.

Elsewhere, the Sunday Telegraph reports that BIL is considering legal action against the former board over £6.5m-worth of fees paid to advisers to help reject BIL’s initial offer.
