US budget hotel chain Super 8 to open 5 new outlets in China this year

US budget hotel chain Super 8 Motels Inc plans to open at least five more outlets in China this year, the Beijing Business Today reported.
Super 8 opened its first mainland outlet in Beijing last month, and has scheduled to open a second in the northeastern coastal city of Dalian in September, the paper said, citing company sources.
The hotel operator, which has 2,082 outlets worldwide, is targeting 150 mln usd revenue in China within five years, it said.
Of the other groups expanding in China's hotel sector, France's Accor Group opened its first budget outlet, Ibis, in the northern municipality of Tianjin last year and will open three more this year.
Several other foreign hotel groups are expected to enter the marke soon, the paper said, but did not provide further details.
