Sherille and Frankie Hughes, owners and managers of Paradise Cove Resort have been named the 2005 Anguilla Hotel and Tourism Association Hotelier of the Year.
In a recent ceremony held as part of the 27th Annual Tourism Gala at CuisinArt Resort & Spa, Dr. and Mrs. Hughes were presented the award by the Scotiabank Managing Director, Mr. Kirwin Jean Baptiste and AHTA Vice President, Mr. Fred Thompson.
Sherille was educated in St. Kitt's and began her working life as a banker while Frankie obtained his first degree in electrical engineering and his second in medicine. Their illustrious hospitality careers began when the Hughes Family broke ground in 1989 for what is today one of Anguillas premier mix market properties, Paradise Cove Resort, that has grown from 14 to 29 rooms and includes a 50-person conference centre hosting many high level conferences.
By any standard, the Hughes are local Anguillian leaders and pioneers in the Caribbean hospitality industry. They have overseen the establishment and growth for the last eleven years while delivering top notch hospitality by providing an exceptional level of personal service and creating a camaraderie of respect amongst their staff.
