Said Group CEO Erik Floman: “John’s appointment is a major step in Hotelzon International’s creation of a strong multi-national team that is propelling our fast-growing network towards our target of becoming the pre-eminent global specialist hotel and reservations agency. With Hotelzon’s operational presence in the key European and emerging markets it is already a significant global player. Our innovative, market-leading technology offers both corporate clients and hotels new opportunities to manage the supply and distribution chain and reduce the cost of transactions. And now with John’s extensive experience and expertise in developing cost-reducing solutions, Hotelzon is in a position to achieve extensive growth within the largest and potentially most important market in Europe.”
MacOmish joins Hotelzon after nine years with BSI, latterly as Director of Business Strategy. Commenting on his appointment, he said: “For corporate travel managers Hotelzon is the real alternative supplier to the larger TMC or local HBA. With offices and network partners throughout Europe, in the USA and key markets of Asia, it can provide an integrated service to companies with global interests and can also negotiate preferred rates locally – usually lower than most consortia or TMC can achieve.
“I believe its self-booking technology is the most advanced in the market. Easy to use, it has a rich property content and features direct connectivity options to key independent hotels - essential for most corporate preferred programmes - easy integration with travel portals, policy compliance facilities, allocation management and mapping. Importantly, its has achieved critical mass through its use by some of Europe’s major, and some 15,000 smaller, companies that gives travel managers the assurance of robustness, scalability and longevity when seeking an online tool. Naturally, I am looking forward to be part of such a dynamic and extensive organisation
