The award winning Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa is looking forward to welcoming Mark Sexton back as its new General Manager. He rejoins Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa having previously spent several years in various senior operational roles within the property.
Mark left Noosa in mid 2002 with his family to take on the position of General Manager, Four Points by Sheraton, Geelong, Victoria. Four Points by Sheraton Geelong has since become recognised as one Victoria’s finest regional international hotels and just recently received a Merit Award in the 2005 Victorian Tourism Awards - Deluxe Accommodation Category. Mark brings extensive experience having worked in senior management positions with various Sheraton Hotels throughout Australia since 1986.
“My family and I are very excited with the opportunity to return to Noosa and renew acquaintance and friendships with the Noosa community. I am also personally looking forward to the responsibility of continuing Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa’s standing as one of Australia’s best resorts and to again work closely with the dedicated staff and management of the property” Mr Sexton said.
Mark is excited to be returning to Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa which will include overseeing
the launch of 6 new luxurious ‘Noosa Lifestyle Suites’ taking the resorts room and suite inventory to 175.
Mark Sexton takes over from General Manager, Boyd Williams who is retiring from the hotel industry after 23 years with Sheraton and will continue to reside in Noosa. Mr Williams has managed the Resorts recent Ballroom and Swimming Pool refurbishment which has assisted the resort in winning the
Queensland Tourism 2005 Award for Luxury Accommodation.

As part of the Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa’s continuous improvement program the recently completed refurbishment of the Ballroom conference areas and surrounds, features the latest design and offers the largest and most flexible function facility on Hastings Street in the heart of Noosa. With the recent completion of the Resort’s room refurbishment which flowed on from the AQUA Day Spa development, the ballroom and new look poolside renovations has positioned Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa as the ideal location catering for the leisure traveler, special events, conferences and incentives.
The Noosa Ballroom has been expanded to accommodate seating for up to 350 delegates theatre style and up to 240 guests banquet style. In addition to the Noosa Ballroom which can be divided into 5 breakout areas, the new Laguna Room and Lily Pond Terrace expansions allow for a further 5 breakout areas and offer flexibility for trade displays including vehicle access for prestige car launches. The Noosa Ballroom was officially launched during the Noosa Festival of Tennis Grand Slam event in 2004 and was attended by some of Australia’s most popular sporting and entertainment personalities.
