TweetBy the end of the week hotel and tour operator Orbis is to submit a binding offer for purchase of Polish hotels owned by its French sector investor, Accor. If the deal goes through, the company will be able to enter the lucrative two star hotel sector. Orbis wants to acquire a stake in Hekon, a company which accumulated Polish investments of the French investor. Analysts and investors have been waiting for the deal for the past several months. "If there will be no an agreement by June, there will be no transaction," said the head of Orbis, Maciej Grelowski. He emphasized that if the transaction will not take place, than the shareholder structure of Orbis will have to change, which most probably means the withdrawal of Accor, which currently controls a 30% stake. Orbis has finalized the process of due diligence of Hekon, and according to analysts, estimated the value of the potential investment at zł. 460 million. (Puls Biznesu, pp. 1, 4) A.K.
