Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa, managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts and part of Marriott International's Autograph Collection of upscale independent hotels, has announced the appointment of Norm Santos as General Manager. With more than two decades of experience in hotels and hospitality management, much of it at Marriott International properties, Santos oversees all operations at the historic lakeside resort located high above Los Angeles in the San Bernardino National Forest.
The new General Manager's responsibilities include assisting in the resort's sales and marketing efforts, managing the resort's food and beverage program, and assuring a refined guest experience for all. Santos is also focused on furthering the already strong relationships that have developed with local businesses and the surrounding community, both of which are vital to the continued success of Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa.
Santos has spent his entire hospitality career in California, arriving at Lake Arrowhead after a turn as general manager at The Belamar Hotel. Previously he held a range of upper-level management positions including director of operations for SMG Long Beach Convention Center and the Aquarium of the Pacific, general manager and corporate director of operations for At Your Service Hospitality based in Anaheim Hills, California, director of rooms operations at Manhattan Beach Marriott Hotel, and general manager at Fullerton Marriott Hotel.
Other Marriott locations dotted across Santos' long career include Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, Marina Beach Marriott Hotel, and Fullerton Marriott Hotel. He launched his career as restaurant manager at Anaheim Marriott Hotel in 1990.
A native of Anaheim Hills, California, Santos studied Business Administration at Rancho Santiago College and is certified across a range of hospitality disciplines.
eRevMax hires Ricky Castoldi as VP of Sales for Americas
eRevMax, a channel management software and connectivity solution provider for the hotel industry, has appointed of Ricky Castoldi, as Vice President Sales for the Americas region. Reporting to Chief Operating Officer Greg Berman, Ricky will lead the next stage of the company's sales strategy and execution in the Americas.
Castoldi brings to eRevMax over 18 years of travel sales, hospitality technology sales & sales management expertise. Ricky will be based out of Texas, but travel extensively to foster relationship with customers and channel partners across continents. He previously held senior sales management positions with Lanyon, Dolphin Dynamics and Pegasus Solutions.
Scripps Networks Interactive names Shannon O'Neill Travel Channel President
Shannon O'Neill, who has been central to the strategic evolution and development of Travel Channel, has been named president of the network.
O'Neill takes the helm after serving three years as Travel Channel's senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was appointed to the top leadership role by Scripps Networks Interactive, Travel Channel's controlling and majority owner.
As Travel Channel president, O'Neill will be responsible for furthering the network's ongoing transformation into a powerhouse lifestyle media brand.
O'Neill will report to Burton Jablin, president of the company's Scripps Networks operating division. His appointment is effective immediately.
In his role as senior vice president and chief financial officer for the network, O'Neill has led strategic planning and core financial reporting and provided analysis and insight into the network's overall performance. He also has been leading Travel Channel's digital strategy and operations.
Before joining Travel Channel, O'Neill served three years as senior vice president and general manager of Golf Channel's digital media business. Under his direction, Golf Channel's digital revenues grew tenfold. He had previously served as vice president of emerging networks for Comcast's programming group, where he was responsible for developing and launching new media businesses. In that role he guided the launch of FEARnet, the first multi-platform horror genre network, in partnership with Sony and Lionsgate.
O'Neill is a graduate of the University of Delaware and the Cable Executive Management Program at Harvard Business School. He is based at Travel Channel headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md.
