Hits $8 Million in reservations three days in July
Marking a more than $1 million increase from its 2004 record reservations day, Choice Hotels International boasted three days this month with over $8 million in reservations through the CRS: Wednesday, July 6; Friday, July 8; and Monday, July 11, which is the new record-holding day with just over $8.1 million in reservations. Prior to hitting the $8 million mark on July 6, the highest res day was reached a year ago, on Monday, July 12, 2004, when Choice booked just under $7 million through the CRS.
As a whole, revenue numbers have been up for Choice this summer, topping the $7 million per day mark 11 times thus far this year. Likewise, the number of $6 million revenue days has almost tripled this year over last, from 15 days year-to-date in 2004 to 44 days thus far in 2005. Choice also has booked 54 days so far in 2005 topping $5 million.
Revenues generated via the company’s proprietary web site, Choicehotels.com, are up a total of 17 percent year-to-date over the same period in 2004.
