BITTM, the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market taking place 3-5 April this year, has today announced the support of a range of high-profile speakers for its packed conference program. With only a few weeks to go, BITTM has been internationally recognized as a major player in international tourism with the prestigious ECTW Award (The European Chinese Tourists Welcoming Award) acknowledging the event’s contribution to promoting China outbound tourism.
In April, travel experts from China and across the world will gather in Beijing to discuss the hot topics and opportunities available for the Chinese and international travel trade in the fastest-growing tourism market in the world. The UN’s World Tourism Organization is one of the prominent international organizations delivering a keynote presentation at BITTM.
Geoffrey Lipman from the World Tourism Organization said: “The UN World is delighted to support BITTM. All our forecasts show that the massive Chinese engine of growth is also a factor in global Tourism expansion. And what is so exciting is that the well-established inbound market is now coupled with a vibrant outbound sector as the Chinese economy spawns a new affluent group of world travelers. This not only contributes to China's trade balance but adds an important export dynamic for those countries with emerging Chinese visitor flows.”
