Sami Aawar, a professional hotelier with 20 years’ experience in the region, has been appointed to a post of General Manager for Mövenpick Hotel Doha. He started his hospitality career in his native Lebanon, where he joined the food and beverage department of the Al Bustan Hotel in 1997. In the following years, he transferred to front office and worked in independent boutique hotels before joining Mövenpick 15 years ago.
Most recently, Antepli was General Manager at Doubletree by Hilton Dhahran Hotel, Al Khobar in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
They also announced $1.5 billion in new hotel development, including Doha and five other locations, all with independent hotel development partners.
