BERJAYA University College of Hospitality

In view of the dynamic growth and demand for professionals in the hospitality and tourism industry, the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education extended an invitation on 2nd April 2007 to BERJAYA Group to establish a niche university college for hospitality to be known as BERJAYA University College of Hospitality (BERJAYA UCH).

BERJAYA UCH received its licence to operate as an institution of higher learning on 14th November 2008. BERJAYA UCH is a premier University College offering programmes related to hospitality, tourism and services management from the foundation to postgraduate levels. These programmes are offered under four (4) Schools. They are the:

• School of Culinary Arts
• School of Hospitality Management
• School of Tourism, Arts and Culture Management
• School of Services Management

BERJAYA UCH’s cosmopolitan city campus is situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city at BERJAYA Times Square. Students benefit from the integrated learning experiences gained from the hospitality, tourism and service-related businesses within and surrounding the city campus. The city campus, totaling approximately 100,000 square feet, is located on the 11th and 14th floor of BERJAYA Times Square

Students immerse themselves in the demands and challenges of the hospitality, tourism and services industry through our “outside-in” approach known as the BERJAYA Immersion Methodology. The University College creates and promotes a learning environment that involves experiential learning, internships, field trips, and practical sessions among others.

BERJAYA UCH has established strategic partnerships with institutions of higher learning in UK, USA, Australia, Europe, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc. The University College has collaborations with different organisations to conduct research in nutrition, gastronomy, culinary science, hospitality, tourism, services, and others. Research collaborations are also on-going with public universities and government agencies.

To allow our students a wider scope of “internationalised” programmes and an opportunity to enjoy global learning experience, BERJAYA UCH articulates with foreign institutions of higher learning.
